Rachel Smith, MA, LPC, NCC

Hi — I’m Rachel (she/they), a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Colorado who focuses on providing clinical supervision for pre-licensed and early-career therapists. While my clinical background includes extensive work with LGBTQIA+ clients, 2+ relational systems, and folx exploring kink, non-monogamy, and other nontraditional relationship structures, my supervision practice is not limited to these areas. I regularly support clinicians working across a wide range of populations, presenting concerns, and treatment settings. My supervision style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in real-world clinical practice. I don’t position myself as the “expert” handing down answers — I work alongside you as a guide, helping you strengthen clinical judgment, deepen case conceptualization, and navigate the ethical, relational, and practical realities of being a therapist. Supervision is a space to think critically, ask hard questions, and build confidence in your clinical decision-making. Together, we focus on developing an ethical, sustainable professional identity that supports both client care and clinician wellbeing.
I'm a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the Association for Assessment and Research in Counseling (AARC) — organizations that support ethical, evidence-informed practice.I'm also a proud member of SAIGE (Society for Sexual, Affectional, Intersex, and Gender Expansive Identities), a division of ACA that centers the needs and voices of LGBTQIA+ counselors and clients. This community keeps me connected to ongoing conversations around equity, inclusion, and liberation in our field — values that are at the core of how I practice.
